In Conclusion: The Seneca Falls Convention
The Seneca Falls was a turning point in history because without it, America's women would not have gained their rights until later as the start of the movement would have been postponed, resulting in a slowed expansion and growth of our economy.
This means that we would not be as modernized in the 20th century, and even today, signs of slowed industrialization would be present. The 20th century was a huge century for women, but without it's roots in this convention, where would we be? Close to half of the United States population consists of women, unrepresented in the government whose rules and laws they too had to obey. American Patriots had just fought for independence for the same reason only 90 years ago, so how could they show the same unfairness, as Great Britain had, to women?
This convention sparked a revolution, a movement, that would continue with immense support until the 19th amendment was passed in 1920. It has impacted both women of our history and women today.
